Are There Any New Jersey Treatment Centers That Offer Outpatient Counseling?

When you’re looking for treatment for drug or alcohol dependence, there seems to be a heavy emphasis on inpatient treatment. Looking for outpatient treatment in New Jersey can seem like a daunting task.

There are lots of reasons you may want to go to outpatient rather than inpatient treatment, including family commitments, employment, or lack of insurance coverage. You may have already completed inpatient treatment but feel the need for aftercare in an outpatient setting.

Seacrest Recovery Center in Eatontown, New Jersey, offers a unique approach to treatment. Our three-phase program starts with partial hospitalization, which is an intensive 2 week stabilization period. During this phase (Phase I), the client attends the Partial Hospitalization Program 5 days a week, and is required to find a sponsor, give 3 random drug tests per week, and attend a weekly therapy session with a counselor. The client must also attend 5 AA or NA meetings per week, and provide a signed attendance sheet.

During the second phase (Phase II), the client attends Intensive Outpatient (IOP) 3-5 days a week. They are also required to continue weekly therapy sessions, attend 5 meetings a week, and begin working the steps with their sponsor.

Phase III requires the client to attend outpatient treatment once a week, as well as giving random drug tests and maintaining a full-time job. All three phases require complete accountability on the part of the client.

Seacrest Recovery Center also offers sober housing for those clients who require or desire it. In addition to the above activities, Seacrest also encourages clients to engage in healthy lifestyle activities, such as gym attendance, and to begin the work of helping other recovering addicts and alcoholics.
